Hi,
I’m trying to use this video as the background for my parralax, but when I load it up, it shows up really zoomed in (see attachment).
I’ve tried playing around with the video height/content height/window height, but none of it seems to fix the issue.
Currently, I’ve only uploaded an mp4 version of the video (not .webm or .ogg).
Any idea on how I would get the video to show up properly?
Thanks,
David.April 29, 2014 at 4:47 pm #70857Hi
Due to the video having such a small height, it will be zoomed to the window height (so that the parallax effect can be applied)
Try set the movement to ‘scroll’ and let me know if that helps

That doesn’t help unfortunately.
Any other ideas? What would be the idea video dimensions to upload?
Let me know,
Thanks,

May 6, 2014 at 4:41 am #72370Hi Kyle,
I have tried many different video dimensions and they all end up being zoomed in, cropping the video and causing the it to lose a lot of detail.
I have tried a video that’s 1:1 ratio and it does the same thing (Even though I don’t want the video to take up the whole screen, I just want it to be a narrow long image, similar to the one on Dante’s demo site (see attachment).

Swift IdeasMay 8, 2014 at 10:47 am #73372Hey Mohammad,
I’ve got it to a stage that I’m relatively happy with, it’s probably a still bit taller than I want it to be, but it’s not the biggest deal.
the URL is: http://www.slowmojo.com.au , but I’m not sure if you’ll be able to see the site. When I’m logged into WordPress and go to that URL, it’s fine… But if I logout, it goes to a ‘500 (Internal Server) Error’ page. I’m not 100% sure why.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave.May 8, 2014 at 11:11 am #73388Hey, yes we get a server error as well, care to contact your hosting company about that real quick? That shouldn’t happen.
Maybe try deactivating all your plugins to see if that changes anything!
Let us know!
July 2, 2014 at 1:11 am #87391Hey guys,
So yeh… I’m still trying to get this issue fixed. You can check out the parralax on my homepage at http://www.slowmojo.com.
At the moment, when you open the front page, the parralax basically takes up the whole page. I want to reduce the size of the video on the Y-axis (so the width stays the same, but reduce the height).
Any ideas?

July 6, 2014 at 5:22 pm #88383Hi there,
Sorry for the delay. Try adding this custom css:
.home .sf-parallax-video { max-height: 300px; }
That will allow you to restrict it to a certain max-height.
Hope that helps!
