Wordpress and theme version are all up to date.

We want to embed the following video: http://videohive.net/item/employer-standing-on-city-top/6329689

We want to embed it on the top of the front page as a parallax, but unfortunately the size does not crop, further it even zooms into the video and lets parts of it out. What we would like to do: have the video height smaller and the whole size of video displayed, not a zoomed in version like right now.

Hey, if the aspect ratio of the video is false to begin with it will not display properly as the parallax will resize it to fit the full width perfectly fine.

So you might want to hire somebody to modify the video to match your needs?

What would be the right size/ratio for the video, so it won`t be resized?

Well since it’s parallax the width will always adjust to the width of the browser window in which it is displayed, so that’s hard to say. It will always be cropped to a certain extend, but from looking at it, quite a lot of landscape orientation would make it crop less.

    Cheers

What do you mean exactly? To cut the video, so that the landscape is not more a part of it?
I have already tried to cut it, but it even crops more. So it does not work.

Is it possible to deactivate the cropping function of the parallax or to change it, so it does not zoom in?

    Hi

You could achieve this with some css work but for us to help you you would need to have the parallax section set up, with the video uploaded, so all we need to do is change some css.

As it is parallax, the height of the video needs to be the same as the browser height so that when you scroll, you never get to the bottom of the video. But you can change this and have it as a static video.

    Hi Kyle,

I have now done the setup with the video. We would need it to just zoom more out and show the whole picture. We would then probably fix it on the text, so the height of the video is not that high, perhaps 25% less and the text below the video is more up to the top. It is just important that a part of the panorama, the man and hill can always be seen.

The CSS will be only custom for this one element? Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards

    Hi

Looks like that’s the best you can get it with the size of your video.
