    Hi,

When building a post or page and updating/editing, it appears in some instances that spaces and paragraph formatting is stripped.

    E.g.

    If i have text.

    That is purposely.

    Written like this.

and update, then the following occurs when viewing or opening up sections:

if i have text. That is purposely. Written like this.

I’m not sure if that makes sense, or if i’m doing something wrong to cause this, but it 100% happens and is quite annoying, especially when the spaces and paragraphs are done on purpose. To solve this issue i put spaces throughout my text blocks, update and then i cannot edit the post again, or i’ll have to space it all out.

    Please help !

    Update.

I think it might be the page builder that does this.

As edits made in classic mode, such as spacing out text, is removed when switching to the page builder.

    Hi

We are aware of this and are looking at a fix, however even though it happens in page builder text boxes, we think it’s down to WordPress. Will see if we can come up with a solution, thanks

When on the text editor switch to text view instead of visual and make sure that &nbsp tags are in between your lines. If not insert them and save while in text view.

It also happened to me the other way round. Inserting double lines when I wanted single line spacing. If you also need to avoid this since WordPress does it, press shift+enter when changing lines and no space will be inserted.

From my research these kind of issues are on WordPress but I could be wrong.

    Hi @Sotiris,

The editor in WP3.9 is a little different to how it has been for a long time before. We did find one issue with the text editor spacing, which we have fixed and it will be in the next update (due next week).

If you still have issues after that update then let us know!
