    Hi,

I’ve tried everything to reduce my page speed but it’s still awful. I’ve never used a theme this slow before. I have a caching plugin setup and a CDN and still barely any difference.

I’m also getting a 404 error for the fontdeck javascript file that’s adding almost 1 second to page load. The font deck ID is 29651. Has this changed?

    Hi,

the fontdeck js file is not included by us, is that something you added manually yourself or through a plugin?

The loading time for me is 7 seconds, which is not slow, but it could definitely be faster. The reason for the load is the amount of images that are being loaded in your slider and content. Each image is between say 40KB and 80KB, which is great, but they do add up to a large file size to download.

    Cheers

I used the same fontdeck code that is in your demo. I guess it’s not universal. I’ll just sign-up for my own.

    Thanks.

I also have a pretty slow load speed particularly for the homepage. I’ve tried to make even the large slider images under 200kb. I noticed that sometimes the site is calling vimeo…but there’s no vimeo video (or any video) showing on the homepage. Should I be using some kind of cache plugin? Suggestions?

@latitude22n – try installing WP Super Cache, that should help out a bit. Your page size is 3.4mb, so you could try optimising your images (WP Smush.it)

    Hope that helps.

thanks. how about http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/? a little concerned about having users see static pages on an e-commerce page with WP Super Cache. But happy to take your advice.

Sure, feel free to use it. You can find threads talking about an ideal setup. Cheers
