Hello,
I am in the process of building right now and have noticed that the page load time is unusually long however I am unable to determine what may be causing this to happen. Even on pages without images the page hangs before anything is displayed. Any help would be appreciated. This shop is going to have 6000 products and I’ve only uploaded 30 so far so I need to get this sorted asap.
Cheers
December 16, 2014 at 9:15 am #135917Hi
More often that not it’s down to your hosting, especially if you’re saying the page ‘hangs’ before anything loads, that’s the ‘resolving host’ part. You can try things like Better WordPress Minify and WP Total Cache, but the best option would be to get a better host

December 16, 2014 at 6:22 pm #136043I installed WP Super Cache however it didn’t make a difference. Did you look at the site? Seems weird on the home page that the revolution slider appears before anything else loads.
I also think it’s a bit easy too blame the host. I am currently running 15 websites with the same host, three of which are running Woocommerce so I find it hard to believe that that’s the issue.
December 16, 2014 at 9:15 pm #136073Just to follow-up…I disabled all of the plug-ins and removed all of the demo pages and images but the pages still hang. It takes about 5 seconds for each page. Is there a script that is pre-loading everything before displaying?
December 17, 2014 at 4:32 am #136149Hi,
Please remove revolution slider, load page and check for speed. Let me know your feedback. Thanks
MohammadDecember 17, 2014 at 7:23 pm #136395Hi Mohammad,
I removed the slider completely but it didn’t affect the speed. I’m still convinced there is a script that’s loading everything at one time but I don’t know where to look for it.
Cheers,

Please provide me correct wordpress admin login detail to inspect the issue.
Thanks

Compare that to our demo using a good host:
http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/j7fhL/neighborhood.swiftideas.netAs you can see, both sites use the same theme, content very similar, yet our demo loads much quicker, so clearly it is down to the host.

December 21, 2014 at 11:52 pm #137051Dear support
It wasn’t my host as Kyle kept insisting. It was the Google fonts. I disabled them and now the site loads fine.
I’m annoyed by the support I have received on this issue and I will be placing feedback on Themeforest to refect that. Kyle in particular seems to give unsupportive feedback…not only on my issue but with other ones throughout the support forum. I was going to purchase your Cardinal theme as well but after this experience I will look elsewhere, which is really a shame because I felt that your Swift page builder was the best page builder I’ve worked with so far.
December 22, 2014 at 8:23 am #137074Hi
Apologies about that, more often that not if a customers site is much slower that our demo and they are not using plugins etc then it is down to the host. I was not aware that it was Google Fonts, and I apologies for that.
I think it’s a bit unfair to give the theme a negative review just because of this one issue. There are several support staff, each of us more knowledgable than others about certain topics, I’m sorry that you think I give unsupportive feedback, but that’s definitely not the case if you look at the thousands of issues I have helped with and solved.

December 22, 2014 at 9:16 pm #137355Hi Kyle,
I appreciate your apology however that doesn’t make up for the hours I lost trying to sort the issue for my client.
It’s not the theme I’m giving negative feedback to, it’s the support. When I buy a theme I always read the reviews to see what sort of support I can expect. This time I am feeling pretty disappointed. And yes, I have seen your feedback on other posts because I spent quite a bit of time trawling through support tickets looking for a solution. Sometimes your feedback is helpful, other times it seems that you haven’t even looked into the problem or your response doesn’t address the full issue.
In any case, thank you for your apology.
