    Hi Swiftideas,

Playing around with the page builder … I was setting up a page using the column options and was trying to increase the white space between those columns. It seems I cannot without adding a class and using css or can I?

I tried using the padding option in the column settings, however that adds padding on all sides which is not what I am after. I only want to add padding on the right sides of the left column or padding on the left side of the right column to make things look less packed whilst retaining the alignment with the border of the container.

    Thanks,
    Johan

    Hi

It’s not recommended to alter column and gutter widths, as this may cause layout issues elsewhere on the site. Can you provide your link and point out which section you are trying to edit so I can see if there’s anything I can do to help?

    Hi Kyle,

I can imagine, that is exactly why I was looking to increase the padding on the side of a columns 🙂 I have attached two screenshots. The first one illustrates how my setup looks in Swift page builder and the second one how the result looks. Here is the page: http://nio.photography/buying-licenses-prints/

I would like to see more white space in between text and the FAQ column. If I click the column edit icon, there is a slider to change the padding for the columns. It is however one slider so all sides are affected.

    Cheers,
    Johan

Please add an extra class to the columns so that I can assign padding to them

    Hi Kyle,

That was the solution I had in mind, so I can manage. Was surprised it was missing in the swift page builder options, basically like Visual Composer has it.

Question: if I would decide to use Visual Composer, would I then still have the same elements and shortcodes available?

    Thanks,
    Johan

You would only have VC elements available, you can’t use both page builders
