Please log in to the website and have a look – since updating the Cardinal theme from 1.93 to 2.03. The entire NEWS section is now INVISIBLE – I can see the items there with mouseover. What on earth is going on please? It must be fixed today – my client is getting irate 🙁
February 19, 2015 at 2:58 pm #151657Hi,
That’s caused by a conflict with NextGen Gallery.
Add the code below so they can work together..bold-items .blog-item { opacity: 1; }

February 19, 2015 at 3:11 pm #151662Well, I tried your suggestion but in order to get Masonry working, I have had to entirely deactivate the NextGEN Gallery. For a $100 plugin I am amazed there are problems – is this with your theme or their plugin? Either way, it’s a great pity as it seems easier to try and find an alternative option. This is really frustrating.
February 19, 2015 at 3:28 pm #151666This reply has been marked as private.February 19, 2015 at 3:31 pm #151667Is always difficult to tell, because if use the same css class name that they do and vice-versa it can cause problems.
The code that I provide should be enough to display correctly the news page, try using the !important like this
.bold-items .blog-item { opacity: 1!important; }

February 19, 2015 at 3:40 pm #151670Wow. I have just tried the NEWS section in FF and it looks totally different to Chrome. What is going on? Please do me a big favour and check this yourself?
Honestly – I’m grateful for your customer support but even with the plugin disabled the news section is not showing consistently. I don’t think this theme is fit for release if there are these problems, do you?
Anyway, if you can do your best to get to the bottom of it, I’d be very grateful, including adding that CSS code you think may make it work. For now, my immediate problem is getting it looking decent in FF. I am wondering if I may have a corrupt FF – that is always a possibility so I do not mean to point fingers. As I reqquest – have a look for yourself please?
Ta.
February 19, 2015 at 3:53 pm #151673It’s showing the same in the 2 browsers.

February 19, 2015 at 5:04 pm #151718OK then my browser must be corrupted. Could you try and resolve the
Nextgen issue please?February 19, 2015 at 5:15 pm #151722Probably it’s cache, clear the cache and try again.
I already changed the css so that new page can work-Rui
February 19, 2015 at 5:21 pm #151727Thanks, but gallery stil not showing on my mobile. I am out at te moment but could you reactivate the two plugins and check please?
Also, look at footer on mobile – it is terrible 🙁
I have to say, as reaponsive design this really leaves a lot to be desired. Could you olease suggest a fix? Thanks!
February 19, 2015 at 5:45 pm #151734Oh come on man – this is with an emptied cache on iPad. ‘Probably’ only makes a simple resolution take a LOT longer than it should. Note how the NEWS section and logo is a total mess? Please try and fix this.
The experience of working with Cardinal often feels like one step forward and two steps back. I hope you can take notes on this for the good of future versions as it really does feel that as paying customers we are more like beta testers.
1) look at squashed logo. That is fine on laptop and mobile.
2) look at Masonry columns – total mess.
3) look at footer on iPad and especially mobile – hardly responsive.Thanks for making the gallery (which has over 9 million downloads) finally work with your premium theme. I hope you can ensure this clash doesn’t happen with the next version?
Please pass this onto Ed.

February 20, 2015 at 2:27 am #151830@deejayhart – just trying to check your site but it’s saying “Webpage not available”.
Let us know when it’s back up.
As far as I’m aware, there is an issue with the plugin that causes our script not to run. Our jQuery is 100% valid and correct, and there is nothing here would could be the theme’s fault.
2) This is caused by the jQuery conflict.
1/3) Will check these when i can view the siteJust curios, can you replicate 1 and/or 3 on any of our demo sites?

February 20, 2015 at 2:43 pm #151990Ed – please look again. Website is perfectly their and present. Shame your theme is so riddled with bugs that the most basic things are failing to work – I am fed up! £300 websites are too cheap for this crap.
February 20, 2015 at 3:19 pm #151998Ed – I made it very clear that this was aparent even without nextgen activated. Which I remind you has 9 million downloads. Come on – it is your job to ensure this kind of thing, so long as reported errors are approached constructively.
