    I’m just starting with WP and am learning as I go. If I’m not going to be using WooCommerce, do I need to have it installed for the demo to work properly?

    Hi,
    No it is not necessary to install it for the demo to work. But some pages might not show up correctly because they could be using some of the WooCommerce product elements.

    If I am not selling anything at a checkout on this site, is there a benefit to having WooCommerce? Is it a good way to highlight product, without purchasing directly from the site?

    You can activate catalogue mode on the Theme Options in ‘WooCommerce options’, this removes the prices and checkout process.
