Hi,
I’ve been testing Jetpack tiled galleries with no sucess (I’ve disabled the gallery override, tested option combinations) but I can’t find the Jetpack Tiled Gallery option on the Media options of the Admin Panel. On the other hand, if the gallery override is enabled, I get the standard wordpress native gallery and no lightbox or any effects except for the magnifying glass overlay. While I know the page builder galleries are meant to be built differently, I read other threads where users said to be using Jetpack galleries or not wanting to use the theme’s galleries, so it must be a bug. My only option at this point is developing a custom shortcode to apply the theme’s masonry gallery to the [gallery ids=""] via the child theme, but I thought I’d check if the gallery is supposed to be working differently.Thank you
September 9, 2014 at 6:18 pm #108800Hi,
What you trying to achieve? For me the Gallery option is in Media Options in Add media even the gallery overridden is set to ON/OFF. If you tell me what you gonna make, I will surely help you.
Let us know,
Thanks,
laranz.September 10, 2014 at 11:17 am #109041Hi,
What I am trying to achieve is that the galleries generated via Add Media inside a post or another taxonomy, output as a [gallery ids=""] shortcode in the html tab, are displayed with the theme’s gallery style (as seen here http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/asset-reference/page-builder-assets/gallery/ ).
Is this not what the gallery override option is supposed to do? Because I get the same wordpress native gallery display wether the override is enabled or disabled. All I’m looking for is an answer as to why the gallery is not displaying with the theme’s styles as it seems to be for other users (by overriding the native gallery, not as a page builder element).
Thank youSeptember 10, 2014 at 10:20 pm #109299Hi,
Its not possible, only gallery created via the Page builder will be loaded with these much of options http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/asset-reference/page-builder-assets/gallery/ If you create WordPress galleries with the shortcode and it is displayed like this http://take.ms/qem4y make sure you are running on the latest theme version ( 1.71 ) If that didn’t work for you, can you pass us the WP Login details to check the issue.
Thanks,

1. If you want lightbox you can choose the links to be Meida Link while creating the gallery,
Disable Gallery Shortcode Override OFF – Our gallery loads, it has lightbox and other functions.
Disable Gallery Shortcode Override ON – WordPress default gallery loads, there lightbox won’t work..But both galleries have same styles of looking. Hope this helps about that feature.
I create a page, and nothing displays? http://ruadasgaivotas6.pt/gallery-test/ I will ask our developer and update you about this issue. So you want to disable the gallery process of ours, and use default WordPress gallery or JetPack gallery right..
2. You can use this way to update the .po file with the new strings http://supertuxkart.sourceforge.net/translating_with_poedit#Updating_an_existing_translation
Thanks,
laranz.September 16, 2014 at 12:24 pm #111159Hi,
I’m still waiting on your reply about this gallery issue after 5 days.
Yes, I would like to be able to:
a) use the Jetpack Galleries (which are not working, as described above)
or
b) be able to set theme functions to really override the native gallery, showing a gallery from the theme styles instead of being “stuck in the middle” like it is now. Please get back to me with a solution for this. Thank you
September 16, 2014 at 5:29 pm #111321Hi,
If you Disable Gallery Shortcode Override OFF – Our gallery loads, it has lightbox and other functions.. But, you want the gallery like the page builder gallery, if so that is no possible with those several many options for the default gallery with shortcode??
Let us know,
Thanks,
