Multiple Lightbox items in Portfolio

I am trying to set up a secondary portfolio page, using only one category of portfolio items. That sets up fine, but I am having trouble with thumbnail/lightbox.

I would like for the user to click each thumbnail and have the lightbox for that image pop up. When I set up these items using “Lightbox to image”, two of the images show up for all the included portfolio items on that page. I wasn’t sure if this has to do with entering the image separately as a portfolio item and a thumbnail. I tried not including the image in the portfolio item, and also tried with and without a featured image, and again using different thumbnail options. So far each of these ways ends up with duplicate images showing up in the lightbox.
