Moving from Dante to Cardinal / Woocommerce

Hi,

I am using both Dante and Cardinal on two differents sites. Cardinal is much easier to work with and I want to move this site on Cardinal too.

I have read your http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/documentation/kb/moving-from-dante-to-cardinal/, but things seems not to be so easy… I have some questions :

1/ What are the big differences between Atelier/Joyn/Cardinal (except in design)?

2/ How should I proceed with the woocommerce database? Should I blocked the live website on maintenance to work with the same database on a developpment copy? Or can I stay my actuel website working? I didn’t kown how to deal with the database during theses changes,  without losing some orders.

Hi

First of all I’d always recommend making a backup before you do anything.

1) They use the new framework, which is improved page builder, more functionality etc, the swift framework is now a plugin rather than built into the theme.

2) All of you woocommerce data will remain, you don’t need to worry about that
