Right.

I’ve messed around with the category select for about an hour, and can’t get it to work. No idea why, but I’ve tried everything I can think of.

My best advice would be to change this select to a text input box, where you can enter the slug of the category instead?

The permalinks issue I really have no idea.. Nothing has changed in the template that would even relate to that..

I see that version 1.5 of Flexform is now available …I’m assuming this is WordPress 3.6 ready?

Hi Sam,

That could be an option.. It would be a similar kind of modification to the portfolio carousel, just change the arguments in the code.

1) We’ll support templates for as long as we possibly can. They have no strict end life.

2) You shouldn’t need to, the child theme files will remain.

3) Yes, I would advise waiting!

Thanks for that pointer regarding stripping the shortcode in the rss feed – perfect!

I have since discovered the strange behaviour I have experienced to be me hitting the php memory limit on MAMP – upping this was likely needed due to the number of plugins I now have!

So, pushing onwards I have now integrated WPML (this is what pushed the php memory limit over the edge, nightmare!) and the site is now German …so I decided to try updating wordpress to 3.6 to see how it would go – and auf Deutsche ‘Alles Gute’ :0)

However – if I have WPML enabled the WordPress search returns no results :0(

I also attempted to update the theme to 1.5 as this resolved the broken ajax search box and to move the functions.php additions into the child theme – unfortunately this did not go so well :0(

Everything functions page wise but all my permalinks break! – reverting to 1.4.3 and everything is good – switch back, dead again.

I have the site up now with WordPress 3.6 and Flexform 1.4.3 with the dashboard showing your update – if you could take a look I would be really grateful – I am 99.9% ready platform wise and have no more major plugins to add – just the migration to do!

And with regards to the Related Items checkbox on the post meta – could you point me in the right direction here …filename, line number perhaps!
