Modal – link, not button

Can I use the modal function as text link? I only see the option to create a button…

There currently is only support for creating buttons.

If you want we could style it the way you would like if you wanted?

Thanks for fast reply.

I intend to use it in a pricing table. So a user can click an item on the price list (eg. running machine).

I have attached a picture where you can see a link where I use the tooltip shortcut. The layout should be somehow like that.

Any suggestions would be very kind of you.

If it was possible to include pictures in the tooltip function, that would also fit my needs…

Sorry there is currently no support for images within a tooltip.

Just a note on regular links and lightbox/modal:

While it won’t be possible inside the table shortcode, you can have a regular text link open a lightbox.

Here’s an example:

<a href="http://mysite.com/image.jpg" class="view">Regular text link</a>

Hey Jan,

I was also looking for this option. I managed to figure out a way to accomplish the effect. I haven’t been able to figure out how to add the option to the shortcode selection menu for easier use yet.

The process requires a new class for your CSS stylesheet and a few lines of PHP in the shortcodes.php file. You’ll also have to edit the shortcode itself a little bit.

If you’re interested in the process let me know and I’ll send you more info.

I’ll attach a video so you can see it in action.
