In image image setting seem to be good now but when you uploaded the pictures maybe your settings were different.

Try to regenerate the images again using a plugin that it’s advised in that same page.

Regarding the 2 columns display in mobile.
Go to the Theme options -> General Options -> Custom css

And paste the code below.

1) I’m afraid that’s not possible in Cardinal it has a different design and functionality.

2) sure. Add this custom css
