Hi there, we’ve just purchased your fantastic theme and are very happy so far. However, we would like some way to bring down the vertical position of the main menu so that it sits just above our rev slider and will fall under our logo when we eventually add more menu items. We’ve searched for similar topics but only found ones in other forums here, so please accept our apology if we missed something.

    Please can you help.

    Many thanks,

Sorry think I found it. For reference to anyone else curious about this in future, go to: Theme Options>Header Options>Main Nav Top spacing and change the value.

    Thanks,

Forgot to mention that we also want to the logo on the left too. So, we need some way to place the menu under the logo on the left of the screen and we’re using the responsive layout in case that helps.

Could this possibly be an inbuilt theme option in future releases as it would be really helpful. Currently a right aligned menu just seems to wrap to a second line when a certain amount of items are added to it, rather than continuing across the page. Even if we add lot’s of vertical padding to knock the menu below the bottom of our logo it still doesn’t continue underneath it.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Placing the menu under the logo isn’t possible with the theme as-is, you will need to custom code it in header.php, in order to achieve that. I suggest taking a look at the Twitter Bootstrap framework to understand how to define layout widths through its classes, since that is what we’re using.

Thanks for the reply but that’s very disappointing to know. Is this something you could look at in future releases as it would be very useful. If you add a certain number of menu items to the nav instead of going all the way across the page it drops to a second line, which doesn’t make sense to me. If you want a menu going all the way across the page in cases where you have lots of menu items as we do, what can you do?

I tried adding vertical padding to knock the menu down below the logo but it doesn’t resolve the issue at all and still drops to a second line rather than continuing under the logo.

If there is anything you can do to improve this behavior in future releases that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Hey, Adding padding to it won’t cause it to go on another line due to its width being set, however it will still be on the same line which will still cause it to stay there.

I will see if Ed will be able to add it to the list of future updates.

    Thanks

Thanks Ben and it would definitely improve your theme from our perspective at least if this function was added and if there was better documentation for each of the properties too.

    Hi there,

We do have this guide for the logo to be above the menu – http://support.swiftideas.net/knowledgebase/how-to-center-the-menu-and-logo/

You could use that and add/remove css if you wanted to alter it?
