Hi,
I am having an issue with my main menu. (please see screenshot attached)
Basically if I disable the mega menu functionality I am having a problem where the sub menu words are getting cut off/incomplete e.g. Client Ag… It should say “Client Agreement”.
If I use mega menu, since I only have 2 sub menus “Disclosure Information” and “Help” I get a huge white blank space (unused) see screenshot, or website url under “About”.
Thanks in advance,
SamJuly 3, 2014 at 8:29 am #87714If you switch back to the original menu I can fix this for you with some custom css. As for your mega menu, it does not display like this on our demo. Could you try checking the box for ‘natural width mega menu’ on the ‘about’ menu item

July 3, 2014 at 10:33 pm #87922I have enabled natural width mega menu on the ‘about’ menu item.
It looks completely messed up ๐ any idea what could be causing this to happen?

July 4, 2014 at 12:13 am #87928I have disabled the mega menu functionality for now.
July 4, 2014 at 8:27 am #87983Add this to your custom css:
nav#main-navigation .menu ul.sub-menu ul.sub-menu { min-width: 210px; }

July 6, 2014 at 10:47 pm #88408Thanks! that fixed it for the normal menu but is there any way to fix the mega menu issue?
July 7, 2014 at 3:26 am #88427Also having issues with the menu bugging out. It’s more noticable in explorer but basically for the “about” menu and its sub menus etc. when opening the menu or going back and forth between level 3, level 2, level 1 menus etc the menu just dissapears?
I am not sure if this is what is causing it but there seems to be a small gap between the level 2 and 3 menus e.g. between “disclosure information and Privacy” and between “Help” and “Frequently asked questions”. maybe since there is a very small gap it thinks we are clicking off the menu?
Also at the top level main menu is there a way to add a bit more space between the main menu and its sub menu for e.g. between about and disclosure information. Because when going from disclosure information to privacy it sometimes goes to the Contact main menu since they are basically touching which once again causes the menu to close.

July 7, 2014 at 10:12 pm #88771This reply has been marked as private.July 8, 2014 at 10:49 am #88922You need to add this to your custom css:
nav.mega-menu li.sf-mega-menu-natural-width .mega { right: 0; }
And you need to adjust this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zemrgjviuoqmih8/Screenshot%202014-07-08%2011.48.32.png

July 8, 2014 at 11:12 am #88936Thanks Kyle! looking much better.
What do you mean by adjust this? I am not really sure what that bit of code does as I got it from the forums, what should I adjust it to?
And also I have noticed that between firefox, chrome and internet explorer, it displays differently, in some it shows a gap between main menu and drop down sub menu and in others there is no gap. I would like to have it so there is no gap between the main menu and sub menu. (Screenshot attached)
July 8, 2014 at 11:16 am #88938Add this to your custom css:
nav.mega-menu li.sf-mega-menu-natural-width .mega { top: 52px!important; }
What did you need that CSS for?
– Kyle
July 8, 2014 at 11:21 am #88939That did the trick, thanks!
I believe that bit of CSS was for an issue I was having with breadcrumbs, refer to this thread: http://support.swiftideas.net/forums/topic/heading-options/
July 8, 2014 at 11:43 am #88948Maybe you don’t need to change it, let me know if you have any other issues ๐

July 9, 2014 at 12:04 am #89186Hi sorry to bother you again, but I have just been advised that we would like to stick to the normal menu style so I was wondering if there is a solution for the issue I was having, in regards to the small gap between the sub menus and the menu bugging out/dissapearing.
