I’ve found a bug with menu items that include a dropdown.

In the case where a menu item includes a dropdown, the top level menu item must be clicked twice in order for it to function correctly.

You can see this in action on the theme demo. Try clicking any of the top level menu items (‘shortcodes’, ‘pages’, ‘features’, etc.) – http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/shortcodes/

What is the fix for this?

As mentioned, it’s not specific only to my website. I’ve tested it on your theme demo also across a number of browsers/devices – http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/

I understand that, but the behavior on your demo is exactly the same as on my site.

On your demo let’s take the ‘Shortcodes’ top level menu item for example – click on it once and nothing happens, then click on it for a second time and it functions correctly (linking through to its page).

Not sure why you need to access my site to troubleshoot this when it’s happening right there on your demo.

Regardless, access details for my site to follow.

    Hi,
There is a prelogin before wordpress admin login. Please provide correct admin login detail for both.
    Thanks
    Mohammad

    Hi,

I see what you mean. Not sure if this is caused by the mobile menu functionalities where the 1st click expands the menu(since there is no mouse over effect) and the 2nd click goes that specific page is is configured in the menu.

Will report the situation to the development team.
    Thanks

    Hi there,

Just checked on my iPhone, and it works as intended as far as I can see. On Shop I touch once and it drops down the sub menu – touch again and it goes to that page.

Just to confirm, are you seeing different?

The issue is not with the site as it appears on mobile. It’s with the site on desktop devices.

The top level menu items (that include a dropdown) require two clicks to function correctly.

The headings links within the dropdown also require two clicks to function correctly.

I’m fine with the way these links work on mobile, but they should only require a single click on desktop devices.

My client and I are concerned that this incorrect functionality in the menu is going to impact conversions.
