Hi guys my site is not boxed and the homepage http://australian-sports-betting-guide.com.au/ has a backgroun image but when the screen resulution is bigger then the image the image repeats/tiles as shown in the atched screen shot or here http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=http%3A//australian-sports-betting-guide.com.au/&w=1920&h=1200&a=1 It is the same if I set it to cover or auto on the page editor.

How can I make it so the the image expands and contracts to cover the whole screen it is being displayed on?

Hi, you would need to find a plugin or add custom javascript in order to achieve the stretching background effect.

Try the plugin fullscreenr maybe. Cheers!

If it can’t stretch to fill without an outside plugin or custom javascript, is there a way to simply prevent the background image from tiling?

    Hi,

I visited your site, thinking I could provide some custom CSS (background-size: cover;)

But I see no background, checked with Firefox and Chrome on a Mac: http://cl.ly/image/0x3X3e361y1R

So how were you adding the bg image? An extra class with custom CSS?

If so, you could add background-size: cover;, as aI was saying.

Well, if you add it back, I’ll get notified by email and will take a look and provide you with a CSS solution, if possible.
