mostly because of lightbox, but link to the images goes to the file directly.

That’s strange, just tested the exact same setup here and it works fine, no redirection to the image.

Can you try disabling any other plugins you have active to see if there is a conflict? If still no good, please provide an admin login in a private reply and we’ll happily investigate for you!

    Hey there,

Been trying to log onto your admin for the past hour, but it’s not loading at all for me. Are you having hosting issues?

hey. I have been out for a while, I could not see any problem. I am logged in now. Can you please try again?

By the way, I have switched the posts to the sidebar but all old posts seem without sidebar. if I update one of them, it switches to the sidebar. I think it should have been good for old posts. I will solve this via bulk custom field plugin but I think it might be a bug.

    Hi @Littbarski,

    Will try again now.

For old posts, try setting Theme Options > Default Meta Options. If a post sidebar isn’t set in the post, then it will check this setting.

Really strange.. still can’t connect to your site even after leaving it 5 minutes to load.. Has anything changed on your hosting?

    dear Ed,

I am afraid the options in “default meta” is not working for the existent content. for example: it is off for “default author info” but it shows in the past articles. if I update the past post, it became hidden. maybe I need to update ALL past posts?

    Hi @Littbarski,

Don’t worry, we wouldn’t ask/expect you to have to update all previous articles! Just checked and seems we had the “default PAGE meta options” referenced for post sidebar. There are a few lines that need changing, so I can send over a replacement theme zip if you like, else there will be an update later today to fix these + some other additions/improvements.

That should resolve the sidebar issue. I’ll check the author info one now.

Still can’t access your site.. really strange as I was able to the first time round.

I was seeing the code change but the reply is edited so no problem, I can wait for the update, no problem.

By the way, the same issue goes for the related articles. (Although it is unchecked, it appears in the past posts and when the post is updated it became hidden etc.)

Using a child theme so I assume no changes up to date will be affected.

Thank you for the quick solution.

Yes – I edited as I realised it was more than those few lines, and didn’t want you to test it out without success. If you do want an updated theme before it’s released I’ll happily provide it.

    Child theme changes will remain!

No problem, will wait for the update.

If I do any code change in one of the theme files, do I need to upload that file into the folder of the child theme? So I will also need update that file after the theme update?

I will contact to you after I finish custom changes of converting the site to Cardinal.

    Best.

Let me know which files you are changing, and I can try and advise the best way to do it. Copying the files down to child theme would only be respected for template files, not functions files.

    Sure, let me know!
