The lightbox popup doesn’t appear to be working on our website (site wide). Often when inserting an image in the classic editor and in the swiftideas builder the image will link to a separate URL with the image itself.

I assumed that the lightbox javascript is being minified perhaps?

The three smaller images should open in a lightbox.

Could you please help us look into this?

    Kind regards,

    Scott

    Hi Mohammad,

The images are inserted in that fashion.

We used Swift Page Builder and used the Image element to insert the photos. The lightbox setting is turned on for the row of three images.

    Hey Scott,

Those login details do not work for me, could you check those?

    Cheers,
    David.

    Hey,

    1) It’s possible another plugin is interfering with this. Can we deactivate your plugins?

    2) I notice you are using a child theme, there is an update available for the main theme. Can you update this in your dashboard?

    2) When using the classic editor, you will need to alter the image settings when inserting it. ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS => Link To => None.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for responding.

    1) I deactivated all of my plugins to see if this solved this issue and it worked. I believe it could be the cacheing plugin WP SUper Cache potentially where it minify’s javascript. Do other users have similar issues? I’ll have to troubleshoot to see which plugin is causing the issue later when I get hom.

    2) I have updated to the latest parent theme already? I’m not sure why you may be seeing the option to update?

    3) Thanks for this tip. I’ve set it to now be none by default. Is there a way to change this for all the older posts historically?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hey,

    1)

I tested deactivating the plugin ‘WordPress SEO’ and the lightbox was working. Are you editing any elements currently as it looks to have reverted back?

    2) You are up to date, my fault there.

    Thanks,

    David.

    Hi Scott,

Appologies, I assumed I had cleared this with you from the above message ‘#187957’.

As we have isolated it is a 3rd plugin conflict, I can only add this to our log to test/improve for the future releases.

If you do further testing, let us know what you find so we can improve it.

    Thanks David,

Did you end up figuring out which plugin specifically was causing the issue?

    Kind regards,
    Scott
