Language switcher

Hi,

I’m using WPML for the English and French versions of my site.

Two questions re: language switcher in Flexform:

1. Is it possible to remove the flags?

2. It is possible to display the native language — ie, for English, show “English / Français”?

The WPML switcher allows for both of these but I can’t seem to get it to work with this theme — I have it set to display in the top menu but it doesn’t show.

Hey,

To remove the images, add this custom CSS in the General theme options:

#header-languages img {
  display: none !important;
}

The language text is the name of the language you set in WPML.

Hi,

I’m having the same issue. I’ve set the languages in WPML, and selected for it to be English/Français instead of English/French, but the built-in switcher for the Neighbourhood theme still shows English/French. Do you know how to change it to show “Français” instead?

I found out how to do this:

WPML nav > Languages.

In the top part where it shows the Languages you’ve selected, just under it says “Edit Languages”. Click that.

In these fields you can change and save what the languages appear as in the navigation. So I have under ENGLISH <English><Français> and under French <English><Français> so each would be in their own language.
