I’ve been experiencing some problems getting my Formidable form to work properly. Their tech support has informed me that the theme is loading JQuery improperly. They say the theme “should be using the wp_enqueue_script function as recommended by WordPress.”

I have attached a screenshot of the Javascript errors being generated by Ability.

They say that they might be causing the issue with Formidable.

Link to the form with Ability here:

    Any help appreciated!

    Hi there,

What version of the theme do you have?

Can you provide a link/login? I’ll take a look at the issue for you. Please post them in a private reply.

    Hi there,

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I’ve been away the past few days.

I’ve made a change, hopefully it should have resolved for the other users.

    Let me know.

One more followup to this. As recommended by the folks over at Formidable, switching over to the 2012 theme did solve the problem, and enabled the forms to be successfully submitted. Obviously, that is not the ideal solution, but helps to reveal that the issue is specific with the Ability template.

Right now the site is running on 2012 to enable users to make form submissions, but we would love to restore it to using Ability ASAP.

    Thanks for your help,

    Christian

    Hi Christian,

Just went to take another look, but saw you had the default theme enabled?

I’ll keep an eye on the ticket for when you’re ready for me to look at it again.

    Hi Christian,

Checked across Chrome/FF/Safari and not managed to replicate even once.

If you could let me know another OS/Browser, then I’ll do my best to try.

I’m thinking the best way around this would be to have a form on an HTML page, that you redirect to from the menu?
