    We are not getting any notification to update the theme, and now we cannot edit any pages via the dashboard.

    This is a serious and urgent issue!!!

    Just tried editing a page in Chrome and got this error.

    Hi,
    Please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/background-update-tester/ to know the issue with automatic update. This plugin will report the cause to fail of automatic update. If you are not able to fix yourself then copy the plugin’s message and submit a ticket to your web host. They will resolve the issue definitely.
