I set up my page to mirror your preview page for the theme, and working from there. I am unable to link “blog” to the simple permalink “caslux.com/blog”. Instead it redirects to “http://caslux.com/blog-standard-with-no-sidebars/blog-masonry-with-both-sidebars/”. When I try to edit the permalink for the page “blog” in the WP pages section of the dashboard, it flips back to “…/blog2” as if a “…/blog” already exists, but it doesn’t…

How can I change this? I want to be able to select one of the blog styles (haven’t chosen yet), and have it show up at caslux.com/blog.

    URL if needed: caslux.com

    Thanks!
    Jay

Thanks for the reply Houssine. I’m not sure where to find “draft” or “bin” though. I just started learning web stuff not too long ago…

Could you be specific on where I should go to find those things? Thanks

    Hi Jay,

If, when editing a permalink for a page or post, WordPress automatically ads a “2” to it, then you have another page with the same name, either published, or draft, or in the Trash.

When you click Pages, you will see some filtering options: look.

Make sure that a page with the same name does not exist anywhere.

Thanks. It was actually a page that was left in the trash… called “home” but permalinked “/blog”. I never thought to even look at that one. Thanks for the help
