Is it possible to disable "This theme recommends installing…..XXX"??

Hello Swift-team.

This is more a nice-to-have, than a need-to-have request.

Is it possible to once and for all get rid of the message “This theme recommends installing….”??
An example: We’ve utilised Gravity Forms and the theme keeps asking for installation of Contact form 7 (no thanks).

Our client is kind of the neurotic ADHD-type, so he keeps mentioning this as an issue.

Well, the issue at hand is that every theme (Joyn, Atelier, Uplift, etc.) recommends plugins and every time you login, half of the screen is warnings.
I want those warnings to be gone forever – Currently they return every time you login!

We build websites for our clients and when they login they don’t understand why there are warnings.
And it’s very annoying for both us and clients.

Let me give you an example:
We’ve utilised Swift slider on all our sites.
Getting prompted to install/update/activate Revolution Slider and Layerslider simply doesn’t make sense.

Hi Ed.

When dismissing the notice, it disappears in that session.
But reappears next time you login.

Regarding child themes.
On some sites we do, on others we don’t.

If your solution to this requires a child theme, then we’ll have to utilise child themes on all our sites and make that best practice.

Apologies, I wasn’t aware it was per session, that doesn’t make sense to me. Unfortunately that is the default functionality of TGM by the looks of it. I’ll see what we can do to build-in making it a one-time dismiss thing. Will let you know what I find.

Please try to use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-plugin-updates-notifications/. The plugin allows you to disable/hide plugin notifications and inline warnings in your admin panel.
