I have attempted to install the newest version 2.6.11 on a fresh install of WordPress however it is giving me WSOD. If I change to the deafualt WP theme it works. There are no plugins installed.

Any Ideas ?

You need to enable error reporting to find the root cause. Please open your wp-config.php file and add this:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
