    I’m trying to upgrade an old site to Cardinal. A lot of blog posts use the wordpress gallery. Unfortunately I can’t get this to work. Enabling the override in preferences doesn’t seem to yield any effect. And I actually would like to use the built-in lightbox functionality. Biggest problem is how it looks in the post, it is not using thumbnails but, as it looks, uncorked originals just downscaled to a certain width. This looks very messy.

    The best thing to do is create galleries for your images and use the gallery page builder asset

    Do you want to turn our lightbox gallery off or do you want it on?

    The lightbox is of less importance. It’s about the way the gallery is rendered on the page. As this means I would need to replace all galleries. I like your lightbox system.

    Not really but I started building galleries in the galleries post-type. And then inserting them via the page builder. A bit more work but it at least works 🙂
