INCONSISTENT: Shop Sidebar VS. Site Sidebar

I need to have my sidebars the same width as the shop sidebar.

I need to show the sidebar on the homepage, and I need it to be consistent throughout the site.

The shop sidebar is 270px

The sidebar added to any other page (including homepage) is 370px

Is it possible to change the size of the sidebar on pages to 270px, and have the content made in swiftbuilder fit into the layout without a big gap?

Please advise.

Neighborhood is by far the best woo theme I have ever seen, I’m completely disappointed though after buying your theme that the grid is inconsistent. I would be happy with just an ugly hack at this point to get the sidebars the same size and the content filling up the content area. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

The sidebar width, by default, should be the same throughout the site.

Much in the same way that you would not have a footer that was a different height randomly on a website, or a header that was a different height on some pages and not on others, it just doesn’t make sense and is awkward.

This side bar width is perfect here on the shop page:
http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/shop/

But, on any other page (including the homepage) the sidebar width is too wide, like it is here:
http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/pages/default-page-sidebar-left/

I understand that there must be some underlying technical issue that never got resolved, but is it possible to have the sidebar from the shop added to the homepage, without causing grid inconsistencies like the image attached?
