Importing demo content issues

Hi Rui,

Great work! It looks perfect now! How did you achieve this? Did the importer work as intended?

Also, how do I remove the Style Switcher?

And the WooCommerce shop also does not link correctly – even though the link appears correct. The permanent link is kiipapp.dk/shop.

Regarding the importer, I imported also the Color Options and Widgets. Just add to fix the mega menu by hand.

Regarding the shop link, it seems to me that you have some directory called shop in your server that is conflicting with the name of the shop page.

At the moment I changed the slug of the Shop page to shop2
Check in your server for that directory, you should rename it or erase it if you want to use the shop slug in your website.

When I import, I checked all the options in the importer, but it still stopped responding. However, when I import one at a time I found out that it is only when I check the Demo Content option that the server stops responding.

But you just imported with no problems?

How do I remove the Style Switcher?

The first time it gave me an error. But at the second try it went fine.

Check in Theme Options-> General options at the bottom there is an option to disable the style switcher.

That is so strange! I must have tried importing at least 10 times – and every time it gave me an error.

I guess I just have to keep trying.

I’m having almost exactly the same issue. I tried importing the theme several times and only on the third time got a success message. The first it appears to have timed out, leaving me with a blank page, the second time I got a 504 error. When if finally “succeeded”, I was left with messy pages.

I followed your advice and deleted all the pages and images. I’m not sure how to delete the actual menu elements, but I deleted the active menus.

I just re-starting the import process, but I’m again left with a blank page. I’m concerned I may have deleted some of the wrong things and don’t want to keep deleting things and re-trying. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
