Dear Swift Ideas,
I really like your theme but I have a few issues. Every time I import your demo content, it seems that it downloads random images. The images differ every time I download the demo content. I have tried twice, and every time the import halts with a non-responding error screen and this time it did not even download the correct logo files.
What is the issue?
Also, the menus the importer creates appears random and are often generated twice. The site looked like a mess, the last time I imported. Please see the site and look at parallax section in the bottom. This image always differs.
Kind regards,

Can you provide admin access to check it?

I needed to delete all the pages and menus, since the content was duplicated several times.
check again your website demo content.

March 13, 2015 at 12:53 pm #157149Yes, I know that, and I could have deleted it myself.
What I want to know, is why does the importer create so many duplicate items?
Also, you did not really answer my original question: Why does the importer seem to import varying images. As you can see on the logo in the menu, there is a small image instead, and the image in the parallax section in the bottom does not match your demo. In fact, almost no content match your demo. Why is that?
March 13, 2015 at 2:32 pm #157172It can create duplicated pages and menus if imported several times.
The logo small image is due to the images that are setup in the Logo Options, this wasn’t imported by the demo content.
Also it seems that a few images didn’t upload correctly.
You talked about a message error in your first reply, what was saying that error message?

March 16, 2015 at 8:38 am #157553Okay, thank you. I will try to import the demo content one more time – though the last two times, I had these complications.
The first error message I got was the server not responding. Even though I had only pressend the import once, duplicate demo content was downloaded.
I will try again and create a new support ticket, if the problem remains.
Thank you for your help so far.
March 16, 2015 at 12:21 pm #157669Hi again,
I just did a clean install of WordPress and Joyn, but the importer once again stopped. Only some content was downloaded, so I am afraid of starting the import process a second time, as I then will get duplicate content.
Every time I have ran the importer, it has stopped with the attached error (though in Danish, it says that the server was not responding).
Have you experienced problems with the importer?

Can you check your server logs? Maybe there is a more detailed error message inside.

March 16, 2015 at 12:35 pm #157686Which log should I look through? The Error Log doesn’t show any errors.
March 16, 2015 at 12:44 pm #157692In that case try to import the attached file, but use the default WordPress Importer.
This is the file that it’s inside the Joyn Demo importer.https://www.dropbox.com/s/1h8fkzjl1zu4ill/joyn-demo-content.xml.gz?dl=0

March 16, 2015 at 1:11 pm #157711The same thing happened with the WordPress Importer: The server stopped responding.
See attached screenshot.

-RuiMarch 16, 2015 at 2:45 pm #157765Yes, I will.
But what I don’t understand is why the images are different, each time I download through the importer. Sometimes the correct image for the parallax effect just above the footer is matching the demo image, but more often the image is another image.
What is the logic behind this?
March 16, 2015 at 5:26 pm #157886Don’t know the logic, those are already process inside the WordPress import process.
The way that I used to do in this situations when customers are having difficult in getting the content is importing several times and checking after each import if there are new images in the Media gallery.
I did that using our Joyn Importer(that also uses the WordPress Importer inside), not sure if you tried several times using the normal WordPress importer plugin and the file that I attached.
