After upgrading to version 1.54 of the theme, I cannot import demo content anymore. Checking “Demo Content” in the importer makes the import last “forever” (two days now).

I tried to switch to the standard theme (Twenty Fourteen) and back, the site is now rendered blank (no source code). This is urgent for me, so can you pleas look into this? I have left my login credentials and I want to import “Shop Three”.

When unchecking “Demo Content”, I am able to get something back, but when trying different starting points, I end up with a mix of several (logo from one, layout from another, colors from a third etc). So, it looks like a mess.

    Hi Torb,

Your server is running out of memory.
Probably you need to increase the memory allocated to PHP/WordPress.

    Check this tutorial http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Also if necessary contact your web hosting company to help you with this.

So, what should the setting be to work? And it did work before upgrading…

Your host should be able to help you with this, try doubling whatever it is now

Well, it is 384 M… so how much does the import need?

Still not working with 768 M. Are you sure this is what causes the problem?

You won’t need it that high, the issue must be something else. I will forward this to the developer to see if he can identify the issue

    Hi torb,

The maximum it should take is 10 minutes at most. Nothing will have changed with the theme update, I can only assume that something has changed on your server setup.

Can you enable WP_Debug to check what error message is shown when you enable Twenty Fourteen?

Should there be any? I have enabled Twenty Fourteen, but can´t see any error messages.

Please see / use login credentials supplied.

I have had a couple of very unproductive days after upgrading, so any feedback is appreciated.

    Have you enabled WP_DEBUG?

Yes – I would expect to see some messages, but it is actually enabled in wp-config…

    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
