Thanks Rui. It’s impossible to move on with products if it doesn’t work on iphone. 90% of phones in Sweden are iphone’s ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes it does happen on iPhone for me, but not sure what’s causing the issue. Will have to forward this one to the developer to check

From what I can see here this has nothing to do with the theme – this is due to the way the image was rotated, see here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/image-rotation-issues-and-incorrect-mobile-browser-display

Unfortunately, the issue is not due to WordPress so much as the photo itself. If it isn’t properly rotated prior to uploading, it will show incorrectly in some browsers as has been noted in previous replies.

So, essentially, you can either rotate the image before uploading (which is what I personally do) or edit the image to properly align it after you upload.

    Hi Ed!

Unfortunately editing (rotating) them before uploading doesn’t work; neither does editing them inside Wordepress. What happens is this: If I edit it in WordPress admin with my iphone/ipad, the image rotates and shows the “right” way. But then I go to check the page with my macbook and the image has rotated (like in the pics I attached). And so I edit the picture via admin AGAIN (but this time with my macbook). Everything looks great but when I check with my iphone its rotated again.

Can you please help me sove this issue asap. I have a deadline for the webshop and all my pics are taken with iphone.

    Thanks!

Again unfortunately we can’t assist on this matter as it is not an issue with the theme. The issue is due to the rotation of your device when taking the photo. Please see another article on this matter – http://www.vetstreamwebpartner.co.uk/hints-tips/cms-advice/images-appear-rotated-on-ipad-iphone.shtml

    Hi again!

I have now tried all suggestions in the thread; I have opened, edited and reserved all images before uploading them to wp and I have used purge program to remove all info on my images; but still, some images are rotated on mobile devices. It feels so frustrating not knowing what to do to solve the problem and everyone keeps giving me the answer that it’s not a theme/WP/woocommerce problem.

So I tried activating another theme and VOILA! The pics are all showing properly. This tells me that it intact IS a theme issue. So can you please please help me as the launching of the site is already delayed.

I wasn’t lying or passing the blame when I said it wasn’t a theme issue. There are hundreds of thousands of results on google about this – https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=image+rotated+on+iphone+website&oq=image+rotate&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j69i59.2204j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8

    Dear Ed,

I apologize if I sounded like I was blaming you for passing the blame, that was not at all my intention . I was just extremely frustrated with nobody having the solution for the problem. I have now started to Purge them twice before uploading them and it has worked this far…let’s hope it stays that way ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for your patience and help!
