    Hello,

In my catalog page, my product’s images are automatically cropped. And even though I tried to keep their proportion according to their original file, it keeps happening.

I’d like to know how can I make the product image have the exact same proportion both on the product and catalogue page. I don’t want them to be cropped when displayed on the catalog page, how do I make that happen?

There’s an attached file where you can see the catalog image’s current settings, and another one where you can see the original file’s dimensions. Hope that helps you to identify the problem and solve it!

    Thank you!

    Hi

First of all, uploading images at 3648px wide is going to massively slow down your website, they are far too big. You should upload product images around 720px wide.

The reason they get cropped is because 720 x 1080 isn’t the same ratio as your image. You should resize your images to 720px wide and see what the height is, then use that for your setting

i thought that I could upload The biggest image i had, and wp would automattically resize it acording to image settings for each page. Shopify (my previous platform) worked this way…

Should i resize all my images to have 720px wide then?

    Best

WordPress will resize your images in certain places, but the image that is 3648px wide is still on your server and still taking up a lot of space which will slow the size down
