I recently put my site live, having worked on it on a subdomain.

On launch I noticed that the page weight was higher than on the subdomain, and some digging has shown that all my thumbnails are actually being sized at the largest image size.

The HTML is scaling them down (to 400 or 800px wide depending on the image), but it’s displaying a 1200px image in real life.

My demo site was showing the correct images… (with a trailing -400 or -800 at the end of the image).

I’ve tried re-setting the image with in woo commerce (it’s already set to the correct value), and re-generating thumbnails… to no avail. The thumbnails are there (as in, they exist in the media folder, and have been generated), they are just not being correctly called in the HTML.

    Any thoughts?

I should also mention, that there are 1.5 gigs worth of images. So if you’re going to try regenerating the thumbnails again, you might want to go put the kettle on. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have tested, and I know the resized images are there, and exist. The issue is that they are simply not being requested in the HTML.

    Hi

How did you move it from the subdomain to the main domain?

    That’s complex stuff ๐Ÿ™‚
Glad you found a solution for that issue.
