Images and parallax video expanded too big when screen size over 1500px

Unfortunately that is how our full width assets are currently setup – they aren’t browser width, but larger to compensate for viewport sizes.

We are in the process of greatly overhauling the theme to make the full width assets truly full-width, and this will resolve your issue.

We are hoping to get this update released in the next few weeks. Happy to keep you updated and provide an early copy if you need? I’d suggest waiting for this rather than try to work around it.

Hi Ed,

Does this means full width row and parallax video will all be affected?

Because the video expand over screen width 1500px only happens in parallax video and not in row (See the attachment for clarification).

I don’t mind using either one, just need a video background with text overlay on it, which stays full width to the edge and good presentation.

The video background will only stretch to the browser width – no overhang so it won’t be oversized and will display the video in the correct size.

As I said we are hoping to have this sorted in the coming weeks.

Dear Ed,

I updated the latest version and it did solve the expanding problem for parallax video and images.

But it came up with another two:

1. Wish to remove margin-right

There’s a margin-right:-7.5px on the parallax video asset and causing blank space between the video and browser’s edge.

Is the margin-right necessary? If I remove it, will it break the theme?

2. Scroll effect missing

the ROW asset with image cover background set with “scroll” effect in the back-end,

but on the front-end it appears to be “fixed” effect.

Example: http://cbwp.bitnamiapp.com/wordpress/en/

Scroll down to the “Womens Compression Sports Tops” section and you’ll see,

the “scroll” effect should make the image scrolling down with the page,

but instead it’s positioned like “fixed” effect.

Is it possible to make this right by some custom CSS?

Because my website is going to publish very soon.

1) You can remove that yes:

.sf-parallax-video video {
margin-left: 0!important;
}

2) Thanks for the heads up, add this css:

.spb_parallax_asset.parallax-scroll {
	background-attachment: scroll;
}
