image in footer widget

How do you simply add an image in the footer widget. I am trying to put a small logo into Footer Column 1. I have uploaded the image.
Ive created a simple Text widget. added ‘thank you’ as the title and then added this code in the box below:

unfortunately i get a broken image logo instead..
maybe im writing the code wrong?

What if I want the image to be half the size? I cant seem to see the link between what I modify in my media folder and the image code. In this case 300×160.
