image hover

got a question regarding image hover. take a look at my test page: http://reallystandard.com/test-full-width/

i LOVE the image hover effect! but when i make the image a link to a URL it kills the image hover effect. any way to override this so the image hover effect still works on images with links? the samples on this page are the “milk bottle” in the top row of 3 and the image “blank space” in the 2nd row.

also, there is an option for an image caption to appear below the image, but that would throw off the layout i created. it is possible to have an image caption centered on the image hover?

Sorry for a late reply.

Try to put something like this in the Custom CSS in Theme Options.

.spb_single_image .img-link :hover { opacity: 0.5 }

You can this opacity if you want to cover all browsers, http://css-tricks.com/css-transparency-settings-for-all-broswers/

thanks for the tip but it did not work 🙁 is it a conflict with the script because the image is set to a link rather than a lightbox? the sample is http://reallystandard.com/test-full-width/ where in the top row of 3 the image with a link is the middle one…the milk bottle. want that to have the same hover effect as the images to the right & left which are not linked images.
