Could you tell me the ideal proportions of a layerslider for mobile use? I would like to it to take up the whole screen.

    Thanks!

    Hi

Not sure what you mean? Are you asking what dimensions mobile screens are? Or how big to make the image?

Well, I would like to use an image that takes up the whole mobile screen. The one that I currently have for my front page is more wide than tall and gets squished and only takes up a portion of the real estate – currently, I just don’t use a mobile image because of this frustration.

So I guess I’m asking what dimension is best to make the image so that it takes up the whole mobile screen.

    Thanks!

If you use the swift slider, it will be window height on mobile. I’m not sure if layerslider has that functionality

I would like to know the dimensions instead of which slider to use. Could you provide that info? That way I could know for sure as I am creating the slider. Thanks.

There’s too many different screen sizes, so there are no specific dimensions I can give you where the slider will fit all. Layer slider just reduces the size of the slider but keeps the proportions the same. Only swift slider adjusts the background and content to fit all screen sizes

Tried to insert my photo into Swift Slider and it does not work for the image. Currently my image is too wide and I’d like to redo it so that it is a more manageable proportion. (950X580 at the moment)

    Please advise further. Thanks!

    Hi Logan,

This really depends on your content and the desired site layout.

On our demo we use 1920×1280.

Thanks for letting me know the dimensions that you use. I have tried to create a slide that fits with these dimensions and am coming up short. Could you please login given the credentials I provided and temporarily insert the Swift Slider into the Mobile visible only row on the homepage that is present? That way you can see what I’m seeing? I’d very much like to have it work out. Thanks so much!

    Hi Logan,

Where have you done this, I have created a test page so we can both test there. Sample: http://loganwilliamsonlpc.com/swift-slider-test/

I think, you are referring to your test slider? If so, because you have added an image with embedded text this will never display well.

You need to create an image based background, then overlay your text using the “Slide Content => Caption Text” option.

    – David.
