    Thanks for this – am I being dumb? I cannot find Appearance – Editor to change the functions.php…

    That can happen if you have some plugin that disables that menu option.

    Hi there – I can’t do that at the moment – but what has happened to my site? I have lost the front page which was just an image and logo, and all else is missing… Please restore at least! Thanks…

    OK, problem. What on earth has happened to my website homepage? Kyle?

    Before I provided login, I simply had a background image, logo top left using naked header (so transparent) and navigation icon on the right.

    Now, I have logo on left on a solid strip header, a long white page with navigation at bottom for two pages, and no image. It was working fine two days ago.

    I clearly have to give up on the icons but I don’t want the work I did before I raised this issue to be lost either!

    Thanks Kyle. What did you do to fix it? Shame we are back to square one – looks like I am forced to drop Nextgen when using Cardinal, which in my view is something that really needs resolving – what do you think? Anyway, thanks for trying.

    You didn’t have the home page set as your ‘home page’ in Settings > Reading

    I can possibly help you fix the nextgen problem but first you need to solve why the ‘editor’ is not available in your admin
