Hi
WMPL is not displaying the translated media.
See URL…I had this issue also on Dante, WPML support team fixed it by adding this custom css:
to WPML > Languages > Additional CSS:
.flex-viewport, .flex-active-slide, .slides { min-height: 480px !important; }Any ideas? Is this a theme issue?
ThanksJuly 4, 2014 at 11:24 am #88054Hi Andrew,
Argh.. This really annoys me. Currently in conversation with WPML over the issue. When using translated media, it seems to output the image as a “1 x 1”, which means that any jQuery such as sliders that are trying to work with the images see it as 1px height. Providing custom css to fix the height is not a good solution in my eyes.
Doesn’t seem to be the same issue – there aren’t any slides being output on the link you provided. Checking this now.

July 4, 2014 at 11:38 am #88066Just tested here, and images show fine: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4dfxdr0k7k0912q/Screenshot%202014-07-04%2012.37.57.png
So I can only assume this must be something to do with your setup?

July 4, 2014 at 12:12 pm #88091OK, it must be.
Any ideas what it might be. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.July 4, 2014 at 1:35 pm #88127I assume you have WooCommerce Multilingual plugin, and the WPML + String Translation/Translation Management / Media plugins?
Make sure you have the images translated and visible in Media under the desired language? The thumbnails don’t show, but they are there: https://www.dropbox.com/s/69k5v7ss0g6d26u/Screenshot%202014-07-04%2014.34.18.png
Then for the translation of the product we just have this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/atfbcekyvwqxb0i/Screenshot%202014-07-04%2014.35.08.png
Hope that helps, I’d say it’s likely the translated images.

July 4, 2014 at 3:43 pm #88172Hi,
Just adding some more to this this workflow…I added a new product. Then on the product page in English I click translate in the right column.
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s21/sh/d0bf87a9-3b48-4fd9-bfcb-562fbf68c2a7/df022c33e8c6e4afeee1a50e4bcf2080IN WMPL for woocommerce I cannot translate the the page product meta (description and short description).
The only options are the main content and excerpt.July 4, 2014 at 6:12 pm #88196Hi Andrew,
Yes – unfortunately, WPML + WooCommerce can only run using the default fields (content + excerpt), which will still allow you to add content where needed, but without the extra flexibility. This is due to the way the translate process works with WooCommerce. We’ve yet to find a way to be able to provide these as options in the multilingual set up.
If you can pass me a login for your site, I can check your product setup for the image issue.

Going to check this out for you first thing in the morning.
Regarding the product meta translation, this was my response to that:

This is due to the way the translate process works with WooCommerce. We’ve yet to find a way to be able to provide these as options in the multilingual set up.
I’ll take another look tomorrow if there is anything we can do to hook into the multilingual code, but as far as I remember last time I checked it wasn’t possible, so we had to advise users just to use the standard content, and then the “Product Short Description” standalone meta box that is part of WooCommerce.
Thanks,

July 6, 2014 at 5:51 pm #88384Hi Andrew,
Been looking into this for a while now, but unable to see an issue. I’ve just noticed that you don’t have this column on the right when you edit a product’s translation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/80zmtqod6s4jbrw/Screenshot%202014-07-06%2018.50.38.png
Do you have the latest version of all WPML plugins?
– Ed
July 7, 2014 at 10:43 am #88570I’ve updated to the latest wpml plugins.
The Media Attachment controls is visible in post-edit screens but not in product edit screens.
I cannot seem to find where to activate it, so I’ve submitted another support issue with WPML.Thanks a lot for the help on this.
July 7, 2014 at 10:55 am #88574Following up on the product descriptions.
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s21/sh/160cb7cb-4ca8-4e5f-86c4-a78e56f865cd/6d2b744634b8a2ab7f43bd03b3a41fd3So it’s not possible to translate this text?
This is just the text that would normally appear in the tabs, show as an accordion, right?.The default product short description meta box shows whatever I have put in the main content box, in this case the page builder widget areas.
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s21/sh/23fd6281-8843-49e0-ba3a-7b3f23e13c42/b88474923786c494e912e35aa9910824If I use this box no descriptions appear next to the product at all.
Sorry to bother you with this, but it’s really important to get this set up right at the beginning.
Thanks
July 7, 2014 at 1:19 pm #88640Just heard back from WPML
“Checked my test installation, have to agree with you, box is missing.
I will ask one of our developers for more feedback on this..”Odd you can see it on your installation…
July 8, 2014 at 12:29 am #88797That is odd.. May be due to certain situations though, as you have sub-domain setup etc. Let me know when you hear more.
Happy to help anywhere else that I can.
