How to reduce the (main) picture size of specific portfolio detail pages?

I want to reduce the Standard picture size for specific portfolio detail pages,

example here: https://gemafrei-und-gut.de?portfolio=hotellerie

The size of the pricture of the woman sittung at the table is much too big.

How to reduze it

or alternatively how not to use the standard post picture option and insert a smaller picture instead (but if so: how to get rid of the black picture selection reminder?)

What do you want to reduce it to?

An example reduction to 500px would be the below. Please add this to Theme Options => Custom CSS:

.portfolio-item-content .container > figure.media-wrap {
  max-width: 500px;
  margin: 0 auto;
}
