I just tried moving my website from my Sub domain to URL.

I found that all of the theme settings options did not transfer? Could you please put instructions in the manual about this?

Wasted the whole night adding all the the theme settings.. When the site should have been launched.

    Hi Josh,

Moving WordPress installations is beyond the scope of a theme, so having guides in the documentation for this or having such situations covered by our free theme support is not something we can really focus on.

If you just moved the export file with no database, or if something went wrong with your MySQL export or, if you used a plugin that messed things up – these are all possible situations.

What I always do is that I either do a manual MySQL export via phpMyAdmin (or via the WP DB Backup plugin), which exports everything there is, install WP in the new location, import the .sql file I just exported (also in phpMyAdmin) and make sure to change all paths/URL accordingly.

    Hope this helps.

I just moved mine from sub domain to main domain as well. I changed the settings in the wordpress settings to point to the domain instead of the sub domain, and changed my host to point to the same folder that I have the install in. So now, the sub domain and the domain both point to the same folder on my hosting server. Works great with no issues so far…

Ok, no worries. I thought that the Website Theme Settings didn’t transfer. Must of been a fault on my end.
