how to change cardinal theme language?

You will have to translated the following sentences in the swiftframework translation file:

‘in the cart’
‘View cart’
‘% items’
‘0 items’
‘1 item’

Hi Rui,

These strings are already translated, but the translation doesn’t show in the front end. Also, these are not the only strings that show up in English, there are actually a lot (I would guess around 50% of total) showing up in English, the rest shows up in Dutch as it should. Very very strange. Please have a look on the page at:

I have set the language folder in functions.php, on previous websites (Dante and neighborhood theme) i never had any issues with the translation, and it looks like I am not the only person with this problem. Need this adressed quickly!

Can you zip your child theme translation file and attached it in a reply?
It seems that your translation file is incomplete.

Hi,

When I try to work with the translation, it gives error like this, “Jouw vertaling ondersteunt niet de meerdere tekstdomeinen in één vertaling extensie.
Scan nogmaals de daarmee gerelateerde bronbestanden op de overzichtspagina om deze functie in te schakelen.” So I try to rescan the strings, but it says there is not enough permission for the files, so can you adjust the CHMOD for the .po files or pass me the FTP details ( in a private reply ) I will take a look at it, and fix the issue for you.

To what should i CHMOD the language files? 755?

I added the ftp login so Laranz (or you) can do the changes for me, but if for some reason you can’t do it.

For now i set the language folder in my child theme and the .po and .mo to 755….

I prefer not to change the file permissions in your server.
Please change the file permissions to 755 on this one.

The folder you specified only contains .mo files (all languages)!

i did CHMOD the nl_Nl.mo file to 755 now…

Still I get the permission issue error, are you sure the ftp points correctly to the theme??

You do not have the permission to read the file ‘/home/bellol1q/public_html/wp-content/themes/cardinal/includes/options/languages/nl_NL.po’
