I have searched the forums as well as the documentation and cannot find how to set this up.

Can you please show me where the info is or how to setup the language translation aspect of the theme? I have PoEdit dowloaded and have downloaded the .po files but have also seen that .mo files were already in my cPanel.

Can you please tell me how to set it up so that a user may change language as well as geolocate for auto language selection?

    Many Thanks.
    Adam

    Hi,

To achieve that you need to use the WPML plugin. The theme is compatible with WPML.

    Check the links below:

    http://swiftideas.com/documentation/2014/05/26/translation/

    https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/

Regarding the geolocate plugin I don’t have any experience regarding those plugin to give you an advice.

    Hi Rui,

I have paid for the plugin and followed the steps on the WPML localisation and the drop down appears in my footer where it should be but when clicked it does nothing.

It says it has found the .mo files but there are no translations for any strings appearing.

Of course, there is the option to manually add translations but this is not feasible for us to do this.

Can you please login and take a look to see if there is something that I am missing?

    Hi Adam,

What language are you trying to translate into? WPML usually requires you to edit or your own translation strings. The .po file we bundle with the theme contains translated or fuzzy translated strings to make this easier.

    Thanks.
