    Hi,

I’ve been using flexform for about 6 months now, it’s great, however, i’ve been looking to enhance my website with cleaner design, a few better features and have looked at dante and cardinal.

In your honest opinion which theme is better? Cardinal because it’s newer?

Does either theme differ in page speed, holding all things constant?

Also, what would be the issues i would face switching from flexform to Cardinal or Dante?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

    Hi

Cardinal is worlds ahead of any of our previous themes, including Dante. It has far more features and the flexibility is outstanding, as you can see in our 30 demos.

If you was to upgrade to a new theme it should most definitely be Cardinal

You may suffer from a few issues at first because we have changed the naming conventions of our shortcodes and page builder, but all of your pages/posts/portfolio etc will remain, you will just have to do a bit of cleaning up

    Hi Kyle,

That’s great. I’m looking forward to switching to Cardinal.

Can you give me a rough idea on what to expect? E.g. shortcode changes? Do you have any documentation regarding that for existing swiftideas clients?

I just want to know how to go about changing before i switch to ensure it’s done as quickly as possible to our live site before switching and figuring it out firsthand.

    Thank you.

We have a guide on how to move from Dante to Cardinal: http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/documentation/kb/moving-from-dante-to-cardinal/ but not for any of our previous themes, I will check with the developer to see if this is the same for previous themes and get back to you

    Hi Kyle,

That would be fantastic and really help with moving from flexform – cardinal.

    Hi @SelectRetreats,

That guide should cover the changes needed for Flexform -> Cardinal too, as we kept the same shortcode names for Dante from Flexform.
