For some reason Dante won’t except my choice for a static homepage. I have made a ‘Homepage’ template and selected it in my reading options but it still defers to an older ‘holding-page’ I created. Not just that, it doesn’t load the header or footer.

    Total Malfunction! Please help.

    The website is: http://www.itdrewitself.com

    Hi,

Thats weird, Coul you try renaming the existing theme folder and try uploading the theme again .

    Thanks

Nope. That didn’t work. I even deleted the Dante theme and did a fresh install.

It continues to work only when I’m logged into the backend.

Please can you provide me with login details so that I can check your settings?

I will do my best to figure this out for you.

You have maintenance mode turned on.

This is why when you are not logged in you get the holding page.

You need to turn off maintenance mode in Theme Options.

I’m having the same problem since the upgrade. I don’t have maintenance mode on and I replaced the child theme as well as the main theme. For some reason when I use the child theme the home page isn’t using the static page.

Also the child-theme’s “static front page”customization and wordpress settings are both set for a static page.

    Not sure what you mean?

Make sure you don’t set a post page, only the home page.
