I need to add some products but hide them from the store for SEO purposes. I marked one as hidden that I jsut added, but the homepage still accounts for it so it’s only showing the top 7 products instead of the top 8.

    Hi

Unfortunately there’s no way around it, you have set display none, so the product will still be loaded, just not displayed.

So is that how WooCommerce handles hidden products? It just makes it display none via css?

Sorry I thought you meant you hid it with css. Have you used the page builder for the products or the woocommerce shortcode?

Yes. It’s using the correct code.

Sorry but please can you explain where you have marked the product as ‘hidden’? I don’t see this option anywhere

Click to view all Products. Then select Quick Edit on one. There’s a dropdown to control the product visibility.

Just tested on my demo and hiding the product does not affect the homepage, the product is just replaced with another one. Please provide me with a link and login so I can look into the issue

    Hi,
Please go to Admin -> Add/Edit Product ->Right side column Publish settings -> Here you have one option that is catalog visibility, check this .

There is another option at Admin -> Add/Edit Product
    Inventory tab
The inventory tab allows you to manage stock for the product individually and define whether to allow back orders. If stock management is disabled from the settings page, only the ‘stock status’ option will be visible.

    Thanks 🙂

Thanks– but I want the product to basically live as a page, but not be listed in the products for people to access. So how can I hide it properly?

I have three products right now that are hidden, however, you can see on the homepage that the widget it showing three blank products.

    http://springrates.com

It should not be leaving space for those three hidden products and should just show the next three products that are not hidden.

Ok I have managed to replicate this on my demo, I will forward this to the developer to see if we can fix it for the next update

    Thanks for spotting this
