Hi!
There are some things that I need help with adjusting. Some look like they are theme glitches. If you need access, let me know and I’ll create an admin account for you. I am not getting emails from the forums even though I have that option checked, so please email me privately with that request.
These are the things that I need:
Portfolio page: http://artizanmade.com/member-profiles/
Can the spacing for the tags be changed to single spacing? I think the default takes up too much space.
Can the shape of the gallery view be changed to a square? Most of our images are set up as squares. There is also too much white space in the grid. I would like the horizontal spaces to be the same as the vertical ones.Home Page Portfolio: http://artizanmade.com/ One of the images is not following the format of the others. (Rayela Art hat.) There is also too much white space in the grid. I would like the horizontal spaces to be the same as the vertical ones. (It should look the same as the portfolio page…)
Shop Area
Landing Page: http://artizanmade.com/market/ The category orders I set up with the images are not being followed. I wanted Clothing, Accessories and Jewelry on the first row, as an example.
Sidebar Issues
On some of the category pages, two sidebars show up, one on top of the other:
http://artizanmade.com/product-category/all-products/home-and-office/
The price filter is frozen to the right with no products showing to the right. That whole sidebar and filter should be gone. The real one is below that.The filters do not work.
Pages are not contained so that products show up under the sidebar and mess up the layout.
Category and Product Display
I wanted to display the categories at the top of the page with the products below but there is no visual separation. Is there a way to do that? Categories contained at the top with products separated by spacing and maybe text below?
Product display: I really like the way the products display with the overlay and square. But, I don’t want the categories showing up under the image. I would just like the Product Title, Price and Shop Name. We are setting up a marketplace so only have a few products associated to shops so far. Example: http://artizanmade.com/vendor/artizan-made/ We have two products listed there and don’t need the categories showing.
May 24, 2016 at 11:21 pm #269875Sorry. I’m having some connectivity issues, so will continue when my host is a bit more stable….

1) Do you mean reduce the spacing between the items? Please use this CSS:
.post-filter-tabs li { margin-left: 10px; }
2) Which image is “Rayela Art hat”, please add a screenshot to illustrate your issue.
3) If you use this plugin, you can re-order the category items: Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/
4) Will need a login to see how you have set this up.
5) This is not something that is possible in the way you describe, you can use the page builder Product asset to output the Product Categories, then below output the main products.
6) Please use this CSS:
.products .product .product-details .posted_in { display: none; }
Thanks.
May 25, 2016 at 7:16 pm #270210Thank you, David. It looks like my email issues are resolved. Can you send me an email address that I can use to set you up as an admin on the site?
Would it be better to work via email on the issues I am having with the theme? I added the code to the css for the product displays and nothing happened:
.products .product .product-details .posted_in {
display: none;
}There are many other things that I want to go through and can add screen prints if it’s helpful. Let me know whether to do it here or by email.
May 25, 2016 at 7:22 pm #270212Hi,
Please add the login details here and click “privately reply”, all support is handled on the forum.
That CSS will remove the category link below the product image. Will login and take a look if it is not working.
Thanks.

I am feeling frustrated because there are some glitches and I don’t feel like I am moving along at the pace that I would like to in order to get this site in good shape… This time I will use numbers.
1. Portfolio page: http://artizanmade.com/member-profiles/
Can the spacing for the tags be changed to single spacing? I think the default takes up too much space.2. Can the shape of the gallery view be changed to a square? Most of our images are set up as squares.
Shop Area
3. Landing Page: http://artizanmade.com/market/ The category orders I set up with the images are not being followed. I wanted Clothing, Accessories and Jewelry on the first row, as an example. You responded with: “If you use this plugin, you can re-order the category items: Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/” I could add another plugin, but we already have so many and the more plugins you have, the more problems with them playing nice with each other. The images on the landing page are the category ones and your Swift page design has a tool to order them. I would like that checked, to see why that is not working.
Sidebar Issues Very important! The shop pages look very messy right now…
4. On some of the category pages, two sidebars show up, one on top of the other:
http://artizanmade.com/product-category/all-products/home-and-office/
The price filter is frozen to the right with no products showing to the right. That whole sidebar and filter should be gone. The real one is below that. This looks really awful.5. The filters do not work.
6. Pages are not contained so that products show up under the sidebar and mess up the layout.
Category and Product Display
7. I wanted to display the categories at the top of the page with the products below but there is no visual separation. Is there a way to do that? Categories contained at the top with products separated by spacing and maybe text below? From the response above, I believe you are saying that this is not possible. But, I know I have seen shops where the categories are at the top, then there is a space, then products show. I know I can use the page builder for the ones that I can access, but not the ones that are generated.
There is more, but I can only handle so much at a time. Once the visuals are in place, that will help a lot.
May 26, 2016 at 7:05 am #270284Actually, I want to add one more:
9. Portfolio Pages: There are no comment boxes at the bottom of the pages and we used them a lot in our old theme. Our members can leave updates there and visitors can comment on their work. Please enable them. I also want the text that says “View Project” changed to “Visit Website”. I didn’t see that in the theme options. Example: http://artizanmade.com/portfolios/fiber-art-heidi/
May 27, 2016 at 11:42 am #2707161) Yes, you can reduce the spacing using:
.post-filter-tabs li { margin-left: 10px; }
2) No, not without modification to the theme.
3) You will need use the mentioned Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order plugin to re-order these.
4) I do not see two sidebars here: http://artizanmade.com/product-category/all-products/home-and-office/ do you have any more examples?
The shop sidebars are set within Theme Options => WooCommerce => Shop Options => WooCommerce Sidebar Config
5) Your filters look to be working for me. However, it looks like you are using 3rd party plugins to interact with this which could cause issues with the WooCommerce widgets.
6) For which URL, the one supplied I do not see this.
7) The only way to do this, is by using the Page Builder: Page Builder => Product. Use the Categories output, then below output the latest products output.
8) You can remove the categories the theme adds using this:
.products .product .product-details .posted_in { display: none; }
This looks like so, the yellow links are not output by the theme, rather a 3rd party plugin:
9) Unfortunately comments are not supported with Portfolio items currently.
To change the text of the link, please install and activate your supplied child theme. Within the child theme functions.php file, copy and paste in this code:
/* PORTFOLIO ITEM DETAILS ================================================== */ if ( ! function_exists( 'sf_portfolio_item_details' ) ) { function sf_portfolio_item_details() { global $post; $item_sidebar_content = sf_get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'sf_item_sidebar_content', true ); $client = sf_get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'sf_portfolio_client', true ); $item_link = sf_get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'sf_portfolio_external_link', true ); $item_categories = get_the_term_list( $post->ID, 'portfolio-category', '<li>', '</li><li>', '</li>' ); $fw_media_display = sf_get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'sf_fw_media_display', true ); $image = wp_get_attachment_url( get_post_thumbnail_id() ); $pb_active = sf_get_post_meta( $post->ID, '_spb_js_status', true ); $link_icon = apply_filters( 'sf_link_icon', '<i class="ss-link"></i>' ); ?> <?php if ($fw_media_display == "split") { ?> <section class="item-details"> <?php } else if ($pb_active == "true") { ?> <section class="item-details container"> <?php } else { ?> <section class="item-details col-sm-3"> <?php } ?> <?php if ( $item_sidebar_content != "" ) { ?> <div class="sidebar-content"> <?php echo do_shortcode( $item_sidebar_content ); ?> </div> <?php } ?> <?php if ( $client != "" ) { ?> <div class="client"><span><?php _e( "Client:", "swiftframework" ); ?></span><?php echo esc_attr($client); ?></div> <?php } ?> <time class="date updated" itemprop="datePublished" datetime="<?php echo get_the_date( 'Y-m-d' ); ?>"> <span><?php _e( "Date:", "swiftframework" ); ?></span><?php echo get_the_date(); ?></time> <?php if ( $item_link != "" ) { ?> <a class="item-link" href="<?php echo esc_url($item_link); ?>" target="_blank"><?php echo $link_icon; ?><?php _e( "Visit Website", "swiftframework" ); ?></a> <?php } ?> <?php if ( $item_categories != "" ) { ?> <ul class="portfolio-categories"> <?php echo $item_categories; ?> </ul> <?php } ?> <?php if ( sf_theme_opts_name() == "sf_atelier_options" ) { ?> <?php echo do_shortcode('[sf_social_share]'); ?> <?php } else { ?> <div class="article-share" data-buttontext="<?php _e( "Share this", "swiftframework" ); ?>" data-image="<?php echo esc_url($image); ?>"><share-button class="share-button"></share-button></div> <?php } ?> </section> <?php } add_action( 'sf_after_portfolio_content', 'sf_portfolio_item_details', 0 );
Thanks.
June 9, 2016 at 10:06 pm #273623I am still having issues with the two sidebars showing up on certain pages. Here’s an example:
http://artizanmade.com/product-category/to-wear/accessories-to-wear/The sidebar and filter show up, with no products to the right of them. Scroll down and you will see the woocommerce sidebar again, this time without the filter and with the products.
I have a plugin tester and ran a test and found that a light plugin that I am using to create the drop down categories in the sidebar was taking a lot of space. I disabled it, refreshed the page and the problem went away. But, I really want that capability as it makes things so much tidier on the page.
I wrote to the plugin author and he said:
“Hello, our plugin does not related to your issues. If you will check our plugin files and code you will see that this is very simple plugin that just add 5 lines of JavaScript to add “>” arrows to your default woocommerce categories widget and its expandable behavior. Plugin does not change anything in theme templates or layouts.”
Do you have any suggestions about what could be causing this?
Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.June 13, 2016 at 10:32 am #2741801) Can you be specific as to what your issue is? I see one left sidebar within your shop category pages? These are set within: Theme Options => WooCommerce Options => Shop Options
2) On what page URL?
3)
I disabled it, refreshed the page and the problem went away
– this would suggest it was the plugin causing it. What issues did you actually experience? The plugin maybe taking a while to load if you have many categories for it loop through, this will also depend on how good your hosting provider is.
Thanks,
David. -
