Heading google font not applying

When trying to select a google font for the headings, at first the drop down menu does not collapse when you select a font from the menu. You have to set a google font for body in order for the heading drop down to collapse. But even after that, the google font selection for the heading does not show and seems to go back to a browser default font.

I am using v 1.1. I just updated it.

Btw, I updated the theme by overwriting the new theme folder over the old one. Is this the correct way to update?

I updated to v 1.5 but the problem is still there. When you change the heading font to a google font, you also don’t see the font selection being applied on the preview text.
