    Hi!

I ran into a small problem with the theme and its use of rich snippets. It does a very good job for blog posts, but I am now seeing a problem with all my pages, when I test them with Google Structured Data Test:

    hatom-feed
    hatom-entry:
Error At least one field must be set for HatomEntry.
    Error Missing required field “entry-title”.
    Error Missing required field “updated”.
    Error Missing required hCard “author”.

It appears that it starts looking for atom feed because of this small bit of code in the beginning of every page:

    <!-- OPEN page -->
    <div class="post-xx page type-page status-publish hentry clearfix " id="xx">

where ‘xx’ is internal page number. So when it sees hentry it starts looking for all this info, while it is not there, because it is a static page.

    How to solve this problem?

N.B. I’d really appreciate if in the future releases it would be possible to have rich snippets shortcodes. That would be extremely useful for pricing tables, for example. In general on just regular pages there are situations when this would be very useful.

    Thanks,

    Max

    Hi,

It needs a little changes in a file, you can do it like this http://www.wpcub.com/fix-missing-required-field-entry-titleupdatehcard-error-in-wordpress/ I also forward this to our dev team, if possible we will release google rich snippet support in the upcoming versions.

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi Ed,

Many thanks for the update, but something must have gone wrong. This is what I am getting:

    Mac OS X 2ATTRdd-com.macrabbit.Espresso.metadata.uncompressedbplist00_'com.macrabbit.TextEditor.SelectedRangesX{524, 0} 57@Mac OS X 2ATTRee-com.macrabbit.Espresso.metadata.uncompressedbplist00_'com.macrabbit.TextEditor.SelectedRangesY{1122, 0} 57A

blank page and just this text

    Hi, Ed!

Thanks for this. It appeared that some files somehow were getting corrupted while unzipping by the default mac hidden folder! But I’ve realised how to go around this.

So, yes, the update has worked, now all static pages do not have any structured data errors. However, I noticed that when I set blog element in swift-page builder to blog type ‘standard’ I get these errors from the test:

    hatom-feed
    hatom-entry:
    entry-title:	Some title 1
    updated:	October 31, 2014
    Error Missing required hCard "author".
    entry-title:	Some title 2
    updated:	October 27, 2014
    Error Missing required hCard "author".
    entry-title:	Some title 3
    updated:	October 16, 2014
    Error Missing required hCard "author".

And this only happens if blog type is set to ‘standard’, there are no errors when I try to use ‘mini’ or ‘masonry’ blog types.

    Cheers,

    Max

    Hi, Ed!

Thanks again for the update. Now it seems that everything works fine, at least I can’t see any errors!

    Thanks for the prompt replies!
